Daniel Smith – President of Diamond Head Home Inspections

Integrity, transparency and professionalism are the foundation of Daniel’s work and the company he leads.  Daniel’s background in operations, complex project management and exemplary customer service was built over years of professional experience in both Los Angeles and Honolulu.  Daniel is detail-focused and deeply passionate about helping his clients gain the insights they need to make smart real estate investments.

Originally born in Los Angeles, California, Daniel was active in athletics year-round throughout his childhood and teenage years.  He learned the definition of hard work and dedication along with the ability to work with people from all walks of life from his parents—officers in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.  He has studied and completed his certifications with InterNachi (interNACHI.org).  

Kelly Young - Vice President

Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Kelly moved to Hawaii over a decade ago.  Her incredible work ethic coupled with an innate ability to get along with everyone, makes her a valuable member of the Diamond Head Home Inspections team. 

Always taking pride in her work, Kelly makes sure that all homebuyers, agents, and inspectors have all the necessary information they need for their home inspections.  A proud mother of two, Kelly enjoys spending her time off with her husband and her kids at the pool or the beach.

Robert Melton – Lead Inspector of Diamond Head Home Inspections

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Robert has an extensive background in construction and detailed inspection protocols.  He has a highly attuned ability to identify concerns and find solutions for prospective buyers and real estate professionals during the home inspection process.  Crediting his southern charm and considerable experience in the customer service industry, Robert has regularly exceeded expectations of his clients, gaining widespread recognition.  Many who have worked with Robert acknowledge his passion for his craft and leadership skills. 

With his team-first attitude and ability mentor others, Robert has become the Lead Inspector for Diamond Head Home Inspections. Robert is certified with InterNACHI, the leading training and coaching network in the home inspection industry. He has also passed the National Home Inspector's Exam, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the profession and to Diamond Head Home Inspections. Sadly, our friend Bob passed away at the end of 2023 and we all miss him dearly. He made an incredible impact on all of our lives and was loved and appreciated by all who knew him. Clients loved his great smile, southern charm, and his thoroughness with his reports.

Casey Del Carpio Barton - Home Inspector
Casey comes to Diamond Head Home Inspections with a wealth of knowledge, having operated his own residential repair business for years and spending time in the construction industry. He operated his own home inspection business before joining the Diamond Head Home Inspections team. Casey has a great reputation for his thoroughness, ability to identify issues, and his great rapport with clients. He is an InterNACHI certified home inspector and is always willing to go above and beyond for our clients.

Caleb Price - Home Inspector
Caleb has been in the construction industry for the last 24 years, since he was in high school.  During his career, he has moved within the industry, beginning as a laborer.  He moved onto a carpenter position, then draftsman, and eventually an estimator.  Additionally, Caleb worked as a Project Engineer and Lead on multiple construction projects. He operated his own construction business doing carpentry and inspections on job sites of the projects he was working on.  Looking at the work of others in his industry, inspired Caleb to get into the home inspection industry in order to identify issues he found on job sites and help other contractors and laborers’ complete jobs properly. 
Caleb is a certified home inspector in Hawaii who also operated his own inspection company before joining Diamond Head Home Inspections.  He holds several home inspection certifications, and has passed the NHIE (National Home Inspector’s Exam).
To further his education, Caleb is studying to pass the ICC (International Code Council) Exam, which is the most respected credentialing program for construction code administration and enforcement professionals in the United States.

Denis Mee-Lee - Home Inspector
Denis has been involved in both residential and commercial remodel/renovation projects, facility management and handyman work since the early 2000’s.  He has also worked as an instructor for “at-risk” youth with the Hawaii Army National Guard Youth Challenge Academy Hilo campus as well as in other social service capacities.  Denis’ attention-to-detail and compassion for others, uniquely equips him for outstanding service in the home inspection industry.  He has completed training programs with the American Society of Home Inspectors-ASHI, InterNACHI and American Home Inspectors Training-AHIT.  As a lifelong resident of Hawaii, in his spare time, he enjoys surfing, photography, woodworking and songwriting.  Denis is also an active member of his local church.

Johnathan Burgos - Home Inspector
John grew up in town and Aiea here on Oahu. In 2004, he started working for a masonry company and worked for there until 2016. During this time, he went from a general laborer to running multiple projects. John has worked in the concrete and masonry trades doing everything from sidewalks and slab on grade foundations, to CMU, rock, stem and keystone retaining walls. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a safety coordinator acting as a quality control specialist overseeing various construction projects where he helped to set standards in workmanship and job specific processes. John is well versed in many specialty concrete techniques such as staining, stamping, and pouring pervious concrete. Throughout the years working in the construction trade, he was fortunate to learn about electrical and carpentry work participating in projects building houses and residential buildings. John can also operate most heavy equipment found on a job sites and he likes to spend his free time outdoors fishing, hiking, surfing and also watching his son play soccer.

Candace Ho - Home Inspector
Candace is a seasoned home inspector blending her expertise in construction project management with extensive residential renovation experience. Drawing from a dynamic technology background, Candace brings efficiency and precision to her inspections, ensuring thorough assessments and actionable insights. Her commitment to exceptional customer service ensures clients receive comprehensive support throughout the inspection process. With a focus on single and multi-family residences, Candace delivers meticulous attention to detail, empowering clients to make informed decisions about their investments.

Savanna Christensen - Home Inspector
Born and raised on Oahu, Savanna is familiar with the unique environmental impacts that island life has on residential homes. Savanna is a graduate of Southern Virginia University where she captained the women’s basketball team to multiple championships for the first time in over a decade winning multiple awards. Her team-oriented spirit means she strives to include her clients in making sure they are informed and educated homebuyers. Savanna has managed multiple properties throughout Oahu and in her free time, enjoys working out, hiking, surfing, and just about anything outdoors. She is married and has two active dogs! Savanna is InterNACHI Certified and looks forward to ensuring homeowners and homebuyers are well-informed.

Charvis Bush Jr. - Home Inspector
Charvis was born and raised in Hawaii. He is an InterNACHI certified home inspector who takes pride in his work and is always willing to go above and beyond for our clients.
